There is just something about Donald Glover… it’s hard not to fall for the self-proclaimed hipster. His first official album “Camp” dealt with all of his adversaries thoughts on the meaning of what it means to be black and what makes a straight man straight with a lightness that other rappers haven’t been able to access (i.e. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ ENTIRE “The Heist”).
This second album doesn’t shy away from the issues Glover addressed in his first album. He’s still hungry, you can hear it in ‘Crawl’ and ‘3005’ but “Because The Internet” is Glover’s best self yet.
He sings. He raps. He acts. He feels. But he’s not complaining. He’s just speaking about his life.
